Lake Carey
Lake Carey is a salt lake located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The lake is situated south of Laverton, within the Laverton Tectonic Zone that has been associated with the presence of gold since the 1890s〔 (under Linden)〕 and recently there has been renewed exploration drilling. Midas, the company who have sponsored the drilling, estimates that there may be 25 million ounces (780 tonnes) of gold within the site. It has also been reported that there may well be significant amounts of nickel and zinc. The Wangkathaa people are associated with the land around Lake Carey. ==See also==
